Healthcare Quality Measurements with Semantic Search
A Federal Healthcare Agency had difficulties evaluating patient improvement against quality measures.
Under the Affordable Care Act, doctors receiving Medicare funds must show a patient’s condition is improving, and degree of improvement depends on the patient demographics. For example, hypertension of 140/100 or 140/80 could both be normal depending on the patient’s age, gender, etc.
